Humans And Rocks Used As Fuel in Hell Fire Scientific Explanation

Introduction :

The Holy Quran says that humans and rocks will be used as fuel in the hellfire. We will explore in this article whether it's possible that humans or rocks can be used as fuel scientifically. We will also answer many questions like whether should we take these meanings of the holy Quran literally or this is just a metaphorical explanation used in the Quran and what type of reactions take place in hell and what type of fire it is.

The holy Quran is the last book of God, and there will be no other book revealed after it. In the past, prophets used to show miracles and wonders by which people were convinced that the prophet was speaking the truth, but now the seal of the prophets has closed. Now there's no chance of an incoming prophet other than Prophet Jesus, who will also come as a ruler. So that's why God used the Quran to show his miracles by which we can be convinced that God really exists. The Holy Quran is one of the biggest miracles of God that not only shows God's existence but also informs us that there is no other way to attain salvation except by following Allah Almighty's rules. God repeatedly says in the Holy Quran that He will show His signs until it is clear to them that this Quran is the truth. The Quran has been a miracle for centuries. In the age of Arabia, people were influenced by poetry, but when the Quran was revealed, its eloquence surpassed all poetry, shocking the Arabs, and many open-minded individuals accepted the Quran. Now it's the era of science and the holy Quran keeps impressing us with its eloquent and scientific explanations.

Note : 

We called the sun plasma as fire in this article. Scientifically the sun fire is called plasma not the fire, but we can say metaphorically a fire with different reactions. 

Explanation:

Allah Almighty says in the surah baqarah of the holy Quran about fire whose fuel will be humans and rocks while discussing the topic of producing surah like the Quran.

And if you are in doubt about what We have sent down [i.e., the Qur’ān] upon Our Servant [i.e., Prophet Muḥammad (ﷺ)], then produce a sūrah the like thereof and call upon your witnesses [i.e., supporters] other than Allāh, if you should be truthful.
But if you do not - and you will never be able to - then fear the Fire, whose fuel is people and stones, prepared for the disbelievers. 2:23-24

What does God mean about the phrase " whose fuel are people and stone ". Does this is merely a metaphorical explanation or it contain any secrets?

The word used for fuel here is وَقُودُهَا (waquduha) which generally means wood that is used for fire. The root meaning of (wuqud) is W-Q-D.

(waqad): fire, and for the fire to be bright.
(waquud): the wood which is used to start a fire.

So here is the question how stones can be used as fuel in a fire? We will answer this question in brief here:

Reactions in fire:

There are mainly two types of reactions among others to produce heat first is a nuclear fusion reaction and second is a chemical reaction.
A chemical reaction is known as combustion in chemistry.

Combustion is a chemical process in which a substance reacts rapidly with oxygen and gives off heat. The original substance is called the fuel, and the source of oxygen is called the oxidizer. The fuel can be a solid, liquid, or gas, although for airplane propulsion the fuel is usually a liquid.Nasa

Nuclear fusion is a reaction in which two or more atomic nuclei combine to form a larger nuclei, nuclei/neutron by-products. The difference in mass between the reactants and products is manifested as either the release or absorption of energy. Wikipedia 

So in this case first method of combustion cannot be used because our fire cannot use the stones as fuel. Most stones cannot burn in fire in the same way that wood or paper can. While stones are heat-resistant and won't ignite like combustible materials, prolonged exposure to extreme heat can cause structural damage and changes in their properties, such as cracking, shattering, or spalling.

So now we have the second method which is known as nuclear fusion reaction. Does nuclear fusion reaction can take place on stones and humans the answer is yes. We will see how nuclear fusion reactions can take place on stones. Humans are primarily composed of these elements: oxygen, carbon, hydrogen, and nitrogen, accounting for about 90%+ of their mass, and rocks are composed of silicon and oxygen mostly. So if humans or rocks are added in such fire like fire of stars or sun it will convert them into fuel and fusion reaction will take place. Mostly fusion reaction in the sun takes place between helium and hydrogen but it can also take place between other atoms like oxygen and silicon etc. 

To explain clearly I would like to give example if we added vast amount of  water inside the sun fire the fusion reaction will take place between hydrogen and oxygen atoms of water with the helium and hydrogen atoms of sun And all water will be consumed as fuel unlike the fire of earth.

If all of Earth's water were poured onto the Sun, it would have very little effect. The Sun is so massive and hot that the water would instantly vaporize and dissociate into its constituent atoms (hydrogen and oxygen). The Sun's mass is about 333,000 times that of the Earth, and the amount of water on Earth is a tiny fraction of the Earth's mass, so the added mass would not significantly affect the Sun. The hydrogen might add a tiny amount of fuel for the Sun's nuclear fusion, but the overall effect would be negligible. Ck12

In conclusion, fusion reactions will take place on humans or rocks under unimaginable high temperatures inside the sun/star. This fusion reaction will use rock or human atoms as fuel and at last, convert them into heat energy. But still, humans will survive in such temperatures as God said he would give them new skins. From this, we can also conclude the fire of hell will be like the fire of stars or the sun and even hotter than it.

In simple words if a human or rock is thrown into such fire where nuclear reactions take place (i.e. sun fire). It will convert them both into fuel with the release of energy.

Hell fire appearance:

Besides this, there are several pieces of evidence from the Quran and Sunnah that suggest the fire of hell is like the fire of stars. For example prophet Muhammad Said:

The Fire was kindled for one thousand years until it reddened, then it was kindled for one thousand years until it whitened, then it was kindled for one thousand years until it became blackened, so it is dark black." Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2591, 2795

This Hadith is classified as daif because there are two Hadiths with different wordings first says that the white color appeared first and this states red color appeared first. After science, we know that red color appears first and this Hadith is true. 

This same thing happens in the stars first red color appears then white then at last black which is not observed yet in this world. 

So we can conclude hell hellfire will be the same as the fire of the stars and nuclear fusion reaction will take place instead of combustion. 

Besides this, there's a verse of the Quran too which says about the hell fire that it will throw sparks of fire.

Indeed, it hurls sparks as big as huge castles, "As if there were (a string of) black camels (marching swiftly). ”77:32-33

If we imagine these sparks the image of the sun flares comes to mind when it throws sparks. So the fire of hell is like fire of the stars that's produced through nuclear fusion reactions.
